Kindergarten
Welcome Kindergarten Families!
We look forward to meeting you and your child this August. This is the beginning of such a wonderful adventure, and we are excited to share it with you!
The first day of school is Tuesday, August 15. All kindergartners will meet with all three kindergarten teachers on the first three days of school.
In order to make the start of school the most positive experience for your child, the first three days will be half days (students will be dismissed at 12:00). This gives your child time to transition into his/her new school setting. We have many fun whole group and small group activities planned for these days. During these activities, a team of teachers will observe students and group students in a way that is best for all learners. Kindergarten students will be assigned to a teacher on Thursday, August 17. A letter introducing your child’s teacher will go home with him/her that day.
We will have Foothills Meet and Greet Night on Thursday, August 10. At this time, we will collect school supplies and answer any questions you have about kindergarten. We look forward to meeting you and the Kindergarten Class of 2036!
