Mental Health Supports at Foothills Elementary

Foothills Social Emotional Learning Themes 

The mental health team will facilitate school wide activities/lessons addressing the following themes.

January: Growth Mindset

The focus will be on understanding the benefits of making mistakes and recognizing unhelpful thought patterns to transition them to helpful thoughts.

February: Empathy and Kindness

The focus will be on developing and understanding empathy. It will also highlight acts of kindness in our community.

March: Emotional Management

The focus will be on identifying emotions and applying strategies to manage them.

April: Goal SettingThe focus will be creating a goal and the necessary steps to achieve it.

May: Soaring Into Summer

The focus will be on finishing out the school year strong!
